Softball Recap: Casa Roble Wins Going Away Against Woodland

Casa Roble had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Woodland on Thursday. Casa Roble was the clear victor by a 13-3 margin over Woodland. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won six in a row.

Cassandra Alvarez tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Zaria Gee was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Lilly Gonzales also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

As for Woodland, they will square off against Natomas at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodland is facing Natomas at the right time seeing as Natomas is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
