Football Recap: Rio Grande City Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Rio Grande City unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 39-27 to the Roma Gladiators on Friday. The Rattlers haven't had much luck with the Gladiators recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rio Grande City will host Pioneer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Roma, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Palmview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
