Montrose was the 8-7 winner over Mountain View when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Meteors fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 5-4 on Thursday. The Meteors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Christopher McGee was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Montrose is 4-2 when he allows at most two walks, but 3-5 otherwise. McGee was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
