Basketball Recap: Celina Comes Up Short

Celina suffered their closest defeat since January 19, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Aubrey Chaparrals by a score of 62-59. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Chaparrals recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Celina's loss dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Aubrey, they pushed their record up to 19-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Celina Bobcats duke it out with the Panther Creek Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Panther Creek will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Celina surely won't give up without a fight. As for Aubrey, they will be playing at home against Van Alstyne at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Aubrey knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Van Alstyne likes a good challenge.
