Baseball Recap: Lewis County Comes Up Short

Lewis County lost against Hampshire on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Minutemen lost 15-5 to the Trojans. The Minutemen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lewis County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Moats, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Moats has been hot recently, having posted at least one triple the last three times he's played.

Lewis County's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Hampshire, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewis County will venture away from home to take on East Fairmont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hampshire, they will challenge Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
