Basketball Recap: Power Center Academy's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Power Center Academy extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Michael Wynn. The Power Center Academy Knights strolled past the Melrose Golden Wildcats with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 76-61 thanks in part to Wynn, who went 10 for 12 on his way to 24 points and five steals. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Cody Dixon was another key player, going 6 of 15 en route to 17 points and four steals. The match was his sixth in a row with at least ten points.

Power Center Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.1 points per game. As for Melrose, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Power Center Academy and Melrose will both be playing Ridgeway the next time they take the court. Melrose will head out to face Ridgeway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Power Center Academy will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
