Football Recap: Bremond Skates Past Meridian with Ease

While Bremond put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Meridian. The Tigers blew past the Yellowjackets 53-0. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Bremond's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Kasowski, who threw for 255 yards and five TDs on perfect 7-for-7 passing. That's the most passing touchdowns Kasowski has posted since back in October of 2024. Xavier Clark did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 97 receiving yards.

Bremond's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Meridian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Bremond will square off against Goldthwaite at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 14.7 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Meridian, they will face off against Wortham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44.83 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
