West County won the last time they faced Valley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 16-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

West County pushed their record up to 13-1-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Valley, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West County will take on Potosi at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Valley, they will challenge Bismarck at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
