Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Arvin's 11th in Last 13 Outings

Arvin proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 13) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Foothill Trojans, sneaking past 5-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Roy Rosales was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since April 2nd. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Rosales wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Alex Nunez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave Nunez a new career-high.

Arvin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Foothill, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 12-6 record.

Arvin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
