Reagan Clemens commands the offense for Saints win

Recap: Heartland Christian Saints vs. Crosspointe Christian Academy Panthers

The Heartland Christian Saints won the last time they faced the Crosspointe Christian Academy Panthers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Heartland Christian walked away with a 59-50 victory over Crosspointe Christian Academy.

Heartland Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Reagan Clemens out in front who scored 15 points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Clemens grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Clay Nivens, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ben Stock, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Will Yeiter was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.

Heartland Christian's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Crosspointe Christian Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heartland Christian on the road again on Friday and play against Fishers Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m. on January 26th. As for Crosspointe Christian Academy, they will face off against Varsity Opponent at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
