Volleyball Recap: Reed Falls Short Against Ranked Carson

Reed faced Carson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Raiders fell just short of the Senators by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Reed took Carson into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking nine-point loss. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-15, 21-25, 25-13, 15-6.

This is the second loss in a row for Reed and nudges their season record down to 10-6. As for Carson, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Looking ahead, Reed will square off against Douglas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carson, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against North Valleys on the 28th.
