Baseball Game Preview: Centennial Broncos vs. Maxwell Wildcats

The Centennial Broncos will challenge the Maxwell Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Centennial comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Centennial came up short against Central City/Centura on Saturday, falling 9-2.

Meanwhile, Maxwell lost 16-4 to North Platte on Thursday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaxon Braithwait made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and one run. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.3 stolen bases per game. Levi Charter was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Maxwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Everything went Centennial's way against Maxwell in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Centennial made off with a 19-9 victory. Do the Broncos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
