Basketball Recap: Waseca's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Waseca came into Friday's matchup having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged the Worthington Trojans out 46-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bluejays have posted since February 17th.

Waseca's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Worthington, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Waseca and Worthington could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. Waseca (ranked 338th) will meet Plainview-Elgin-Millville (ranked 134th) at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Worthington will take on St. Peter at 7:15 p.m. on January 2, 2025 down 248 places (299 vs. 51).
