Volleyball Game Preview: Taravella Trojans vs. Nova Titans

The Taravella Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Nova Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Taravella is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Western just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 3-1 to the Wildcats. While the Trojans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 25-20 in the first set.

Taravella started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-14, 25-16, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Nova waltzed into their game on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Flying L's.

Nova walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-17, 19-25, 25-22, 25-15.

Nova pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Taravella, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Taravella skirted past Nova 3-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
