If Edison wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Seguin, they should've done a better job of containing Gisele Morales. The Matadors blew past the Golden Bears 3-0 on Friday thanks in part to Morales, who had seven digs and two aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 19 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Seguin never let Edison on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-12, 29-27.

Seguin is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-15 record this season. As for Edison, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-10.

Coincidentally, Seguin and Edison will both be playing Highlands the next time they take the court. The Matadors will host the Owls at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Golden Bears will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
