Baseball Recap: De Anza Dons vs. Salesian College Preparatory Pride
De Anza had lost eight straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 2-12-1 to make it nine. They fell just short of the Salesian College Preparatory Pride by a score of 6-5. The Dons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pride apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.
Ty Willson was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. Willson was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.
