Basketball Recap: Continental Takes a Loss

Continental was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Miller City Wildcats 64-13. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 706th, while the Wildcats are ranked 185th).

Continental's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Miller City, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Continental has already played their next game (against Montpelier), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Miller City will be playing at home against Van Buren at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Miller City is facing Van Buren at the right time seeing as Van Buren is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
