Basketball Recap: Thomasville Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Thomasville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 54-53 to the Colquitt County Packers.

When it comes to explaining why Thomasville lost, don't look at Monte Colvin. Despite the final result, he shot 50% from the field on his way to 24 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Thomas, who posted six points and ten boards.

Colquitt County's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4.

Coming up, Thomasville will square off against Brookwood at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Colquitt County, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Bainbridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Packers will need to watch out since the Bearcats have now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
