Soccer Recap: James Monroe Comes Up Short

James Monroe was the 3-1 winner over PikeView when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Mavericks fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. James Monroe have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their goal came courtesy of Hannah Willis, who's now up to six this season.

James Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 7-4-1. As for PikeView, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-11-1.

James Monroe wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 5-1 win against Bluefield on the 7th. As for PikeView, they have also already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Midland Trail on the 7th.
