Softball Game Preview: Justin Garza Guardians vs. Sanger West Hornets

For the first time this season, Justin Garza will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Sanger West Hornets at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Justin Garza is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Justin Garza's offense. They came up short against Bullard on Wednesday, falling 18-0. The Guardians have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Justin Garza saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Escobedo, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Sanger West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 9-4 to Edison. That's two games in a row now that the Hornets have lost by exactly five runs.

Justin Garza's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Sanger West, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11-2.
