Volleyball Recap: River Christian Comes Up Short

River Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oconee Christian Academy Warriors. While the Royals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 25-12 in the first set.

River Christian actually scored more points across those five sets (104-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 12-25, 25-20, 26-24, 15-25, 15-10.

River Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, River Christian is taking a road trip to take on Friendship Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oconee Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Tabernacle Christian at 6:00 p.m.
