Softball Recap: Fairlawn's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Fairlawn's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Twin Valley South Panthers, sneaking past 8-7. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Jets as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Lani Clemons, who went 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ezra Alexander, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Fairlawn's victory bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Twin Valley South, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Fairlawn will challenge Fort Loramie at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Twin Valley South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tri-Village at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their 22nd straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
