Northwest Christian and Bourgade Catholic are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. Northwest Christian is taking a road trip to challenge Bourgade Catholic at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.8 runs per game this season.

Northwest Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They never let Gilbert Christian get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Ella Reuter, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kinsey Unger, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4.

Reuter wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Northwest Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gilbert Christian only managed four hits.

Meanwhile, Bourgade Catholic earned a 6-2 victory over Pusch Ridge Christian Academy on Saturday.

Bourgade Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. Northwest Christian's record is now 7-3.

Northwest Christian might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from Bourgade Catholic in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Northwest Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
