Centerville took a 40-point defeat the last time they faced off against Viborg/Hurley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tornadoes had just enough and edged out the Cougars 39-36. Those 39 points were actually the fewest the Tornadoes have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The win made it two in a row for Centerville and bumps their season record up to 8-5. As for Viborg/Hurley, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-2.

Coming up, Centerville will take on Alcester-Hudson at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Viborg/Hurley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 58-47 victory against Marty Indian on the 31st.
