Softball Game Preview: Windsor Jaguars vs. Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons

The Windsor Jaguars will face off against the Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Windsor took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 15-5 margin over Novato. Considering the Jaguars have won three matches by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Pearl McKay was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Demi Lagourgue, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.

McKay wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Windsor kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Novato only managed seven hits.

Meanwhile, Archie Williams never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Santa Rosa with a sharp 19-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Peregrine Falcons.

Archie Williams' victory was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Chase Unger, who scored four runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Kennedy Dunsing was another, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one run.

Windsor now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Archie Williams, their record is now 2-0.

Windsor took their win against Archie Williams in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 10-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Windsor since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
