Softball Game Preview: Joliet Central Steelmen vs. LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers

The Joliet Central Steelmen will face off against the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Joliet Central has now lost 17 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 16.

Joliet Central came up short against Plainfield South on Wednesday, falling 19-6.

Haydn Voss was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Victoria Godinez, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, after a string of 22 wins, LaSalle-Peru's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Serena by a score of 2-1.

LaSalle-Peru's loss dropped their record down to 27-4. As for Joliet Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-27.
