Baseball Recap: Rockbridge County Takes a Loss

Rockbridge County lost against William Monroe back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats came up short against the Dragons, falling 11-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rockbridge County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for William Monroe, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockbridge County will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Parry McCluer at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Fighting Blues have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for William Monroe, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Turner Ashby at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th.
