Baseball Recap: Emmanuel Christian Comes Up Short

Emmanuel Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They fell 12-7 to the Abbeville Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, with their most recent loss being a 21-8 defeat last Friday.

Cameron Utterback and Wyatt Greengrass did some serious damage despite the final result: Utterback scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Greengrass scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those runs were Utterback's first of the season.

Emmanuel Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Abbeville, their win ended an 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-10.

As of now, neither Emmanuel Christian nor the Yellowjackets have any future games scheduled.
