Basketball Game Preview: Union Cougars vs. Ogden Tigers

Union has won four straight games at home, while Ogden has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Union Cougars duke it out with the Ogden Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Union knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully Ogden likes a good challenge.

Last Wednesday, Union came up short against Morgan and fell 74-61. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Trojans are ranked 19th).

Ogden played in conference for the first time on Wednesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They secured a 39-34 W over Ben Lomond.

Union's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-6. As for Ogden, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
