Baseball Recap: Roxbury Takes a Loss

Roxbury and Bergenfield squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Roxbury had to settle for second. They fell 3-0 to the Bears. The game marked the first time this year in which the Gaels were not able to get on the board.

Roxbury has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-7 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bergenfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-14.

Roxbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bergenfield, they will challenge Morris Knolls on Thursday. The Golden Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight.
