Preview: Russellville Indians vs. Newburg Wolves
The Russellville Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Newburg Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Russellville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 437 points over their last seven games.
Even though Linn scored an imposing 56 points on Monday, Russellville still came out on top. Russellville secured a 61-56 W over Linn.
Meanwhile, Newburg came up short against Belle on Tuesday and fell 56-49. Newburg has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Russellville is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Newburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Russellville didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Newburg when the teams last played back in November of 2022, but they still walked away with a 69-63 win. Will Russellville repeat their success, or does Newburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
