Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Lakeside's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

The Lakeside Vikings were able to grind out a solid victory over the South Gwinnett Comets on Thursday, taking the game 2-0.

Lakeside found their leader in sophomore Ava Kenyon, who had four aces and one assist. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Kenyon.

Lakeside was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Gwinnett only served one ace.

Lakeside is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for South Gwinnett, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

Lakeside has already played their next contest (against Arabia Mountain), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for South Gwinnett, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Rockdale County on the 9th.
