Volleyball Recap: Heritage Starts Season with Win Against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe

Heritage gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Generals also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Heritage easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-11.

Heritage was led to victory by Addyson Morrison and Madison Sertel. Morrison had seven digs and two aces, while Sertel had 22 assists. What's more, Sertel posted three kills, the most she's had since back in August of 2024.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Heritage and Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe will both be playing Ringgold the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Generals will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
