Cotopaxi had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.3 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They came out on top against the Crested Butte Titans by a score of 46-38. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cotopaxi's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenny Teter, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Teter is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last ten games he's played. Joel Tezak was another key player, going 5-for-9 en route to 11 points along with seven boards and five blocks.

Crested Butte's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adin Kurak, who posted 18 points and five rebounds. That was a full 47.4% of Crested Butte's points, marking the sixth time in a row Kurak has scored more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Pugh, who earned eight points and nine boards.

Cotopaxi pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points over those games. As for Crested Butte, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

Cotopaxi wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-48 victory against Custer County on the 19th. As for Crested Butte, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-26 win against Hayden on the 17th.
