Baseball Game Preview: Pardeeville Bulldogs vs. Cambria-Friesland Hilltoppers

For the second straight game, Pardeeville will face off against Cambria-Friesland. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Hilltoppers at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pardeeville has eight straight wins, Cambria-Friesland has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Pardeeville had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Cambria-Friesland on Monday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Hilltoppers. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Caleb Mackey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Mackey was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Logan Young was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Brady Dolgner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles.

Pardeeville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2024.

Pardeeville pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.4 runs over those games. As for Cambria-Friesland, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
