Basketball Recap: Forrest Rockets vs. Mt. Pleasant Tigers
Forrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 54-33 to the Mt. Pleasant Tigers. The game was a close 24-22 at the break, but unfortunately for the Rockets it sure didn't stay that way.
Jakyri McClure went supernova for Mt. Pleasant, going 8 for 11 en route to 21 points plus six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden McClure, who went 6 for 13 en route to 13 points plus five rebounds.
Forrest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forrest will head out to square off against Cornersville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will venture away from home to challenge Hampshire at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
