Soccer Recap: Cosby Comes Up Short

Cosby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Atlee Raiders. While losing is never fun, Cosby can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 120th, while Atlee are ranked 23rd).

Cosby's loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Atlee, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cosby will face off against Richmond High School for the Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cosby are facing Richmond High School for the Arts at the right time seeing as Richmond High School for the Arts are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Atlee, they will challenge Varina at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
