After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Bladen, Pender was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They snuck past the West Columbus Vikings with a 37-31 victory. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won nine in a row.

Pender's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nevasha Bonds, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Solange Stewart, who scored ten points.

Despite the loss, West Columbus had strong showings from Demya Powell, who earned eight points along with 11 boards and three blocks, and Iyana Lowery, who had 13 points.

Pender's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for West Columbus, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-15.

Coincidentally, Pender and West Columbus will both be playing Heide Trask the next time they take the court. West Columbus will head out to face Heide Trask at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Pender will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
