After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bristol, the Pymatuning Valley Lakers were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They managed a 72-68 victory over Lakeside. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Pymatuning Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Seth Bryan led the charge by scoring 27 points along with 6 rebounds. The match was Bryan's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zane Neczeporenko, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 assists.
Pymatuning Valley now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lakeside, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Pymatuning Valley will be playing at home against Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Harding is ranked 39th, while Pymatuning Valley is ranked 29th). As for Lakeside, they will head out on the road to face off against Grand Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
