Liberty came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Thayer Bobcats 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Liberty was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-20, 25-20.

Leading Liberty to victory were Jade Acklin and Kinsey Shoup. Acklin had five digs and four aces, while Shoup had 11 digs and two assists. Shoup has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Liberty was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive contests.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 19-8-4. As for Thayer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Liberty nor Thayer have any future games scheduled.
