Baseball Game Preview: Azle Hornets vs. Granbury Pirates

For the second straight game, Azle will face off against Granbury. The Hornets will welcome the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Azle is on a five-game streak of home wins, Granbury a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.

Azle is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Granbury just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates.

For Granbury's part, Levi Martinez was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Martinez posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Kyler Crites was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Easton Bleeker, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Granbury's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Azle, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
