Ferris made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Shadle Park, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Saxons were the clear victors by a 21-9 margin over the Highlanders on Thursday. With that win, the Saxons brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Cadence Hyndman, who scored five runs and stole two bases while going 5-for-6. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Jadyn Hatchitt was another key player, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI.

Ferris was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .553. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .306 or higher in three consecutive games.

Ferris' victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5-1. As for Shadle Park, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ferris will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mead at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Saxons will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for Shadle Park, they will challenge Mt. Spokane at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Highlanders surely won't give up without a fight.
