            Volleyball Recap: Clairemont Chieftains vs. La Jolla Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            It's playoff time, and Clairemont had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with  a   3-1  victory over the La Jolla Vikings  on Saturday. The Chieftains haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  win against them.

 Clairemont's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Sean Sumner, who  had 13  blocks and eight  kills. Sumner is  on a roll when it comes to  blocks, as he's  now  had three or more in each of the last six games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Makoa Miner, who  had 19  kills and five  blocks.
Clairemont's win bumped their record up to 26-10. As for La Jolla, they moved to 18-23 with that  loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
 Clairemont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  game,  a  3-2  victory against Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences on the 20th. La Jolla does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
