Softball Game Preview: Forest Hill Falcons vs. Somerset Academy - Canyons Cougars

The Forest Hill Falcons will challenge the Somerset Academy - Canyons Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses dating back to last season for Forest Hill and five for Somerset Academy - Canyons dating back to last season.

Forest Hill lost 16-1 to Cardinal Newman on Friday.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Somerset Academy - Canyons took on Boca Raton on Tuesday. Somerset Academy - Canyons came up short against Boca Raton, falling 9-2.

Ava Midgett was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season.

Somerset Academy - Canyons' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Forest Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Forest Hill skirted past Somerset Academy - Canyons 4-3 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forest Hill since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
