Football Recap: Humphreys Academy's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last six contests, Humphreys Academy finally came back down to earth on Friday. They lost 28-8 to Briarfield Academy. The game marked Humphreys Academy's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Trecin Baker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Briarfield Academy, rushing for 126 yards and one TD on only nine carries, while also picking up 57 receiving yards and one score. Baker got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 79 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Humphreys Academy fell to 6-1. As for Briarfield Academy, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Humphreys Academy will square off against Porter's Chapel Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Briarfield Academy, they will take on Deer Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
