The matchup between Buchholz and Santa Fe on Friday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Buchholz Bobcats never let the Santa Fe Raiders onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won five matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Santa Fe with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Abby Bowen (3), Sophia Tholen (2), Rebekah Goodson (2), and Claire Tanner.

The win (which was Buchholz's third in a row) raised their record to 10-4-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Santa Fe, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Buchholz will take on Matanzas at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Matanzas is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season. Santa Fe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
