Stevens Point is 8-1 against Merrill since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will host the Bluejays at 4:30 p.m. Stevens Point is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Stevens Point was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Menasha on Monday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Bluejays. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

The team relied heavily on Aubree Itzen, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Klismith, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Itzen wasn't the only one making solid contact: Stevens Point kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The Panthers are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Merrill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Medford, falling 11-1.

Merrill's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Stevens Point, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Stevens Point skirted past Merrill 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bluejays turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
