Southern Lehigh entered their tilt with Palisades on Monday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They had just enough and edged out the Pirates 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Pirates on April 10th, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Southern Lehigh pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Palisades, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Southern Lehigh will challenge rival Salisbury Township at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Palisades is set to square off against their familiar foe Catasauqua at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
