Softball Recap: West Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

West can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Cleveland Raiders.

Brooke Weaver was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Weaver was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win got West back to even at 9-9. As for Cleveland, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

West didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-5 victory against Karns on the 7th. As for Cleveland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-0 defeat against East Hamilton on the 6th.
