West Point came tearing into Friday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 points), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Shadow Ridge Stallions as they made off with a 61-41 win. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Stallions are ranked 84th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Point was led to victory by Samuel Kalikilwa and Donovan Wright. Kalikilwa went 6-for-13 on his way to 15 points, while Wright posted four points along with seven assists and six rebounds. That's the most points Kalikilwa has posted since back in November of 2025.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: West Point was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shadow Ridge only racked up nine.

Shadow Ridge lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Beau Curtis, who scored 13 points in addition to seven assists and five boards. Another player making a difference was Quinn Schimdt, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 12 points and five rebounds.

West Point's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Shadow Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-6.

West Point didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-44 win against Tolleson on the 30th. As for Shadow Ridge, they have also already played their next matchup, a 91-71 loss against Apollo on the 27th.
